Full Dataset

Play Speed (ST)

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a player’s play speed on special teams. Factors include speed, acceleration, and change of direction.

DL Composite

A percentile composite score (0-100) that takes the average of the player’s pass rush and run defense scores.

Ball Skills Defense

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a defender’s ball skills (actual completions allowed / expected completions allowed). xComp model includes factors such as pass air distance, defender proximity, pressure on the QB, etc.

Pass Rush Interior

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a player’s ability to pass rush from the interior (LDT, RDT, and NT). Factors include QB pressures, double teams, pass rush win rate, and sacks.

Power Speed (Non-ST)

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a player’s linear speed in combination with his size/weight by calculating the player’s horsepower (force * speed).

QB Evade

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a QB’s ability to evade pressure during the play. QB pressure = defender within 3 yards.

FG Production

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a kicker’s FG production using cumulative EPA (expected points added). Kicker is penalized for both missed and blocked FGs.

QB Accuracy Short

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a QB’s accuracy on short passes (actual completions / expected completions). Short = < 7 yds. xComp model includes factors such as pass air distance, defender proximity, pressure on the QB, etc. Ignores receiver drops.

Punt Composite

A percentile composite score (0-100) that takes into account punting production (cumulative EPA) and effectiveness (average EPA).

QB Evade Interior

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a QB’s ability to evade pressure from the interior during the play. QB pressure = defender within 3 yards.

Rush Yards Over Expected

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a player’s rushing ability (actual rushing yards / expected rushing yards). xRushYds model includes position and speed data of all players on field at time of handoff.

Run Defense Interior

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a defender’s ability to defend a run play from the interior (LDT, RDT, and NT). Factors include penetration behind LOS, run defense win rate, and tackles within 3 yds of LOS.

Power Speed (ST)

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a player’s linear speed in combination with his size/weight by calculating the player’s horsepower (force * speed) on special teams plays.

PFF Grade Run

A percentile score (0-100) derived from a player’s individual play PFF grades on all plays where he performs the ‘RUN’ role.

Blocking Composite

A percentile composite score (0-100) that takes into account all aspects of a blocker’s game by averaging the player’s pass block and run block scores.

Passing Effectiveness

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a player’s passing effectiveness using average EPA (expected points added). All passing attempts by the player are considered.

Rushing Composite

A percentile composite score (0-100) that takes into account rushing production (cumulative EPA), effectiveness (average EPA), rush yards over expectation, elusiveness, and explosiveness.

DL Batdown

A percentile score (0-100) that measures the frequency at which a defender is able to bat down QB passes near the line of scrimmage.

Pass Block

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a player’s ability to pass block. Factors include pass block win rate and pressure distance.

QB Accuracy Medium

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a QB’s accuracy on intermediate passes (actual completions / expected completions). Intermediate = 7–19 yds. Ignores receiver drops.

Rushing Production

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a player’s rushing production using cumulative EPA (expected points added). All rushing attempts by the player are considered.

Play Speed (Non-ST)

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a player’s play speed. Factors include speed, acceleration, and change of direction.

PFF Grade Pass Rush

A percentile score (0-100) derived from a player’s individual play PFF grades on all plays where he performs the ‘PASS RUSH’ role.

Elusiveness Rushing

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a player’s ability to evade tacklers. Factors include yards after contact and tackles avoided.

Penalty

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a player’s ability to avoid penalties by measuring the frequency at which he is penalized.

DL Getoff Interior

A percentile score (0-100) that measures an interior DL’s ability to get off the line quickly on a pass rush.

Kicking Long

A percentile composite score (0-100) that takes into account kicker production, effectiveness, and points over expectation for FGs between 45–55 yds.

PFF Grade Coverage

A percentile score (0-100) derived from a player’s individual play PFF grades on all plays where he performs the ‘COVERAGE’ role.

Receiving Effectiveness

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a player’s receiving effectiveness using average EPA. All plays where the receiver was targeted are considered.

QB Decision Making

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a QB’s decision making ability (targeted receiver expected yards / max expected yards from any receiver).

Top End Speed (Non-ST)

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a player’s linear speed “ceiling” by only considering the top 1% of his max speeds.

Kickoff EZ Rate

A percentile score (0-100) that measures the rate at which a kicker’s kickoffs reach the end zone. Applies to NFL data through 2023.

Kicking Composite

A percentile composite score (0-100) that takes into account kicker production (cumulative EPA), effectiveness (average EPA), and points over expectation.

Ball Carrier Speed (ST)

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a player’s linear speed while he is carrying the ball on special teams plays.

Ball Skills Offense

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a receiver’s ball skills (actual completions / expected completions). xComp model includes factors like pass air distance, defender proximity, and QB pressure.

Run Defense Edge

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a defender’s ability to defend a run play on the edge (non-interior positions). Includes penetration, win rate, tackles within 3 yards of LOS, and containment.

Double Team Interior

A percentile score (0-100) that measures the rate at which an interior pass rusher is double teamed.

Elusiveness Receiving

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a player’s ability to evade tacklers after a reception. Includes YAC, yards after contact, and tackles avoided.

Takeaways

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a defensive player’s ability to create turnovers.

A percentile score (0-100) that measures how well a defensive lineman recognizes and reacts to screen passes.

QB Accuracy Tight

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a QB’s accuracy in tight coverage (defender ≤ 2 yards). Ignores receiver drops.

PFF Grade Pass Block

A percentile score (0-100) based on PFF’s grading of a player’s performance on pass blocking plays.

QB Evade Edge

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a QB’s ability to evade edge pressure (defender within 3 yards from edge).

Kicking Bomb

A percentile composite score (0-100) that accounts for kicker production, effectiveness, and points over expectation on FGs over 55 yards.

Change of Direction (ST)

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a player’s agility and ability to change direction during special teams plays.

Sustained Speed (ST)

A percentile score (0-100) that measures how long a player can maintain max effort speed during special teams plays.

Tackle (Non-ST)

A percentile score (0-100) measuring a defender’s tackle success vs. expected tackles using PFF’s xTackle model.

FG Effectiveness

A percentile score (0-100) evaluating a kicker’s FG success using average EPA, penalizing for misses and blocks.

Pass Coverage Composite

A percentile composite score (0-100) evaluating overall pass coverage based on various metrics like completion %, EPA, interceptions, PD rate, etc.

Top End Speed (ST)

A percentile score (0-100) measuring the top 1% of a player’s max speed during special teams plays.

Pass Rush Edge

A percentile score (0-100) that evaluates a defender’s pass rush ability from the edge, including pressures, double teams, win rate, and sacks.

Rushing Effectiveness

A percentile score (0-100) assessing rushing efficiency via average EPA for each rush attempt.

Speed Over Expected

A percentile score (0-100) measuring a player’s speed relative to the expected speed for their position and role on the play.

YAC Over Expected

A percentile score (0-100) measuring actual vs. expected Yards After Catch using player position and speed at catch time.

PFF Grade Pass Route

A percentile score (0-100) based on PFF grading of route-running execution.

Punt Yards Over Expected

A percentile score (0-100) measuring the yards a punter gains over expected net yardage per the xPunt model.

Linear Speed (ST)

QB Arm Strength

A percentile score (0-100) estimating throw power using air distance and time from throw to catch.

Kicking Medium

A percentile composite score (0-100) combining kicker metrics for 35–45 yard FGs.

Passing Composite

A percentile composite score (0-100) averaging QB rating, EPA, accuracy, and decision-making.

Speed Over Expected (ST)

A percentile score (0-100) measuring a player’s linear speed against expected speed on special teams plays.

Play Action Susceptibility

A percentile score (0-100) measuring how far a defender reacts toward the line of scrimmage on play action snaps.

Receiving Composite

A percentile composite score (0-100) evaluating receiving through production, effectiveness, ball skills, and QB rating when targeted.

Linear Speed (Non-ST)

A percentile score (0-100) for linear speed measured outside of special teams.

LB Screen Awareness

A percentile score (0-100) rating a linebacker/box safety’s ability to diagnose screen plays.

WR Separation

A percentile score (0-100) measuring a receiver’s ability to separate from defenders in man coverage.

Explosiveness Rushing

A percentile score (0-100) that evaluates a player’s rate of explosive runs (≥10 yards more than expected).

PFF Grade Run Block

A percentile score (0-100) for PFF-graded performance on run-blocking plays.

OL Movement

A percentile score (0-100) measuring how often an offensive lineman pulls, climbs to second level, or moves in space.

Punt Production

A percentile score (0-100) evaluating a punter’s cumulative EPA, ignoring blocks and penalties.

QB Batdown

A percentile score (0-100) that measures a QB’s ability to avoid having passes batted down.

QB IQ

A percentile score (0-100) that evaluates a QB’s cognitive performance through decision making, aggressiveness, and tight-window accuracy.
